Review of Five for Fighting's New Album "Slice"

On October 13, Five for Fighting is releasing their new album "Slice." Their first single off their new album is "Chances." I was able to preview their new album before it is released because One2One Network selected me to review their album on my blog.
I feel that the best song on the album is Chances. This song has a good melody and I like the lyrics. The album contains stories about US servicemen (Note to the Unknown Soldier), friends and family. In this album, John talks about current events and his own experiences and uses piano, bass and drums in his songs. While the lead singer has an amazing voice, I felt that the songs all have similiar melodies. I thought the album needs to have a greater mix of upbeat and slow songs.

HCD Survey Panel

I am a member of the HCD survey panel and have been participating in MediaCurves.com studies. Media Curves recently conducted a study among 300 viewers who watched a U.K. public service announcement (PSA) on texting while driving. The results showed that 80% of americans are less likely to text while driving after viewing the U.K. PSA and 85% believe this PSA should air in the US. More detailed information can be found at: http://www.mediacurves.com/NationalMediaFocus/J7508-PSA/Index.cfm

American Idol: Double Elimination

Since the judges saved Matt last week, this past week 2 american idol contestants were eliminated. Anoop and Lil' Rounds were eliminated. In my opinion, I thought Matt should have been eliminated. I thought Anoop had a good singing voice, but he was in the bottom three every week and was finally eliminated this past week. Also, I did not think that Lil' Rounds sounded as bad as the judges perceived her to be. I actually liked her performance. My favorite contestant in the competition is Kris and I am hoping he wins the competition.

Dancing with the Stars: Surprising Elimination

This week on dancing with the stars Denise Richards was the next contestant eliminated. I am so disappointed that she went home. I thought she was dancing well. I don't know why the judges did not like her. I can't believe she was eliminated while Steve O and Steve Wozniak stayed. They are both terrible dancers!! I think part of the reason Denise went home was because there have been reports that Denise and her partner Maksim did not get along. I just hope Steve O or Steve Wozniak are eliminated next week.

American Idol:Motown Week

This week on American Idol it was Motown Week. I thought Adam and Kris were the best singers of the week. I also thought Lil Rounds sounded good. I don't know why the judges did not like her this week. I thought she did a good job singing Heat Wave. This week Michael was eliminated. I thought he should have been eliminated from the competition weeks ago. He has been singing bad every week. I also thought Megan should have also been in the bottom 3. She did not sound good at all this week. I think she should be the next contestant to be eliminated from the competition.

Ugly Betty: In Danger of being Canceled?

I have recently read that Ugly Betty might be canceled. Unfortunately, ratings have been declining this season. For this reason, the season finale for Ugly Betty will be in March. ABC is thinking of renewing the show next fall, but more people need to watch! This show is one of my favorite comedy shows. In my opinion, I think Ugly Betty is the best comedy currently airing.

Ways to Earn Online: Search Sites, Video Reviews,Writing Articles, & Completing Offers

These are some search sites I recommend to earn money or win prizes. I used to always search on google or msn and I never received anything for my searches. I only use these search sites now. I believe the results are just as good as google and msn. Also, I listed sites that offer rewards or money to complete offers and surveys.

Winzy: On this site you can win prizes for searching. Each winzy point you earn enters you into the grand prize drawing. Prizes range from points to I-pods and giftcards. This site allows you up to 50 searches a day.

Swagbucks: On this site you earn swagbucks for searching. Swagbucks can be redeemed for prizes, such as gift cards. I just started and I have already earned 12 swagbucks through searches.

Scour: On scour you receive points for searching (1pt), rating the search results (1pt) and commenting on the search results (1pt). This site allows you up to 100 searches, which is 300 points a day. Points can be redeemed for Visa gift cards.

My Points: On this site you receive points for searches. Mypoints allows up to 31 searches a month. Also, you receive points for completing offers, shopping online, and surveys.

Freebies Junction: Freebies Junction has a mix daily surveys, completing offers, and daily trivia questions. On this site you earn points and cash. Points can be redeemed for gift cards. A mininum of $20 is needed to cash out.

Squishy Cash: Squishy Cash has a mix of daily surveys, completing offers, shopping online. On this site you earn points and cash. A mininum of $20 is needed to cash out. Points can be redeemed for gift cards.

Daily Cash Rewardz: Daily Cash Rewardz has a mix of completing offers, shopping online and trying products. On this site you earn points and cash. A mininum of $5 is needed to cash out. Points can be redeemed for gift cards.

Some additional ways to earn online include writing articles and video reviews.
For video reviews there is one site I would recommend:

I recommend trying Expo TV. Currently, on this site you can submit up to 20 videos per month for upfront payment (usually $5 per review). Also, you earn money based on how many hits your video receives. You receive a penny per hit.

For articles there is one site I would recommend:

I recommend trying Associated Content. On this site you can submit as many articles as you want and receive upfront payment for each article (ranging from $1 to $20). Also, you earn money based on how many people read your article. However, you must receive at least 1,000 hits to receive pay per read earnings. 1,000 hits = $1.50.
